After months of speculation, Geri Halliwell has finally admitted that The Spice Girls are getting back together in 2016.
This year marks 20 years since The Spice Girls’ own brand of Girl Power burst onto the scene and into the charts with the release of their debut hit Wannabe, which has led to lots of speculation that it would be the perfect time for a reunion.
Now Geri ‘Ginger Spice’ Halliwell (now known by her married name Geri Horner) has told BBC Newsbeat that there will be a reunion this year, but it will just be ‘the four of us’ – which means there will be no Victoria Beckham involved in any shows.
US gossip site TMZ reported yesterday that Posh Spice’s ‘focus is now very much her family and fashion business’.
During her interview with Newsbeat Geri said that there was nothing ‘definite or concrete’ in terms of reunion plans, but ‘when it’s definite we’ll announce it together’.
