Legendary Bristol trip-hop pioneers Massive Attack have today announced a 22-date European tour for 2016 – which kicks off with 10 dates in the UK and Ireland in January.

Mercury Prize winners Young Fathers will provide support for the gigs – which will be Massive Attacks first stand-alone UK gigs in five years.

A short press release from the band also stated that the gigs will be in support of ‘new material’, which is expected later this year.

The UK leg of the tour will begin at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on 19 January, and will see Massive Attack play gigs in Glasgow, Leicester, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Portsmouth and Brighton before two dates at London’s Brixton O2 Academy.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow morning (Wednesday 7 October) – to be eligible for them you have to register at Massive Attack’s official site:

Tickets will go on general sale at 9am on Friday 9 October.
