Jeff Lynne’s ELO have been confirmed for the ever-popular ‘legends’ slot at this years Glastonbury Festival.
The famous slot on Sunday afternoon at the Pyramid Stage has grown over the years into the most popular at the festival – with recent acts like Lionel Richie and Dolly Parton attracting the biggest crowds of their respective weekends.
Festival organiser confirmed the news during an appearance on Radio 2 this morning, and then took to Twitter:
Yes! ELO are playing this year’s Glastonbury Sunday teatime slot. Can’t wait!

The return and popularity of the renamed Jeff Lynne’s ELO has been one of the surprise stories in music over the last few years – selling out arenas and releasing new album Alone In The Universe which got to number four in the UK album chart.
