Madchester legends the Happy Mondays have announced they will play their classic album Pills, Thrills and Bellyaches in full at a gig this September.

The Paul Oakenfold-produced 1990 album features hits like Step On and Kinky Afro, and the band recently toured it to celebrate it’s 25 year anniversary.

Now they have confirmed plans for a huge one-off gig on Hastings Pier which will see support from legendary dance act The Orb – who will play their album Adventures Beyond The Underworld in full.

The Hastings Pier show takes place on Saturday 17 September 2016 and is part of an anniversary show double which also sees The Levellers playing their album Levelling The Land on Sunday with support from Turin Brakes and Ferocious Dog.

Tickets for both gigs go on sale this Friday (22 April).
