Amidst the clamour to get Stone Roses tickets this morning, Coldplay went on Nick Grimshaw’s Radio 1 show to officially announce their new album – A Head Full Of Dreams – and debut their brand new single Adventure Of A Lifetime.

As previously reported, the bookies favourites for next years Glastonbury headliners are Coldplay, Muse and Adele, and when asked about the possibility of headlining the Pyramid Stage next year Coldplay front-man Chris Martin dropped a pretty big hint, saying: “We’d love to do it. That’s our spiritual home, as a band… Maybe we should have called ahead and asked them…”

Fans immediately took to Twitter to claim this was basically a confirmation from Martin that Coldplay are indeed one of the headliners for next years Glasto:

During the interview Chris Martin also confirmed that Coldplay will be going on tour to promote the new album, but no dates have been confirmed yet.
