With their new album just around the corner, Coldplay have today confirmed their plans for UK arena gigs next June.
The band will play four arena shows in June 2016 at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium (4 June), Glasgow’s Hampden Park (7 June) and Wembley Stadium (18 and 19 June).
The UK dates are part of a huge world tour that starts in Buenos Aires on 31 March 2016.
Announcing the tour, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said:
I think that not going on tour with [2014 album] ‘Ghost Stories’ was one of the best decisions we ever made, because it gave us such pent-up energy in the studio and completely reignited everyone’s desire to go around the world and play music. ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ was written as a record to be performed live. We can’t wait to do that.
The confirmation of the UK tour dates came after teaser posters were seen around London and Manchester earlier today:
