Legendary metallers Black Sabbath are planning a victory lap in 2016 with their final ever tour.
The tour is suitably called ‘The END Tour’, and the band have just announced a further 14 European dates to it.
2016 will also hopefully see Black Sabbath record their final album before hanging up their guitars, drums, microphones and black t-shirts for good.
Speaking about why this is the end for the band, guitarist Tommy Iomma said earlier this year that his body couldn’t take much more of touring due to his ongoing battle with lymphoma. Iomma said:
I can’t actually do this anymore. My body won’t take it much more.
I don’t want [the illness] creeping back again. And all the traveling involved in Sabbath tours increasingly takes its toll. That’s why we’re going out on one last tour, to say our farewells. And then it very definitely is the end. We won’t be doing it again.”
