As more and more news begins to filter out of Paris, the true horror of what exactly happened in the Bataclan concert hall last night is beginning to emerge.

Official reports are that at least 80 music fans were murdered while watching a sold-out Eagles Of Death Metal gig.

The attack on the 1,500 capacity venue was by far the most deadliest attack during a night of terrorist atrocities in the French capital.

Eyewitness reports from inside the Bataclan venue have described a horrifying series of events which included at least two gunmen indiscriminately opening fire on the audience. There have also been reports of the terrorists taking audience members hostage and shooting them one-by-one.

A French journalist who lives behind the Bataclan was able to record the below video, which captures the sheer panic as audience members escape the attackers:

The band were reportedly onstage when the attack began, and there were initial fears that they had been taken hostage.

In a statement on their Facebook page, the Eagles Of Death Metal posted that they were still trying to “determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew”:

We are still currently trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew. Our thoughts are with all of the people involved in this tragic situation.
